Inspiration for our Engagement Ring Collections

When it comes to designing and engagement rings each designer finds beauty and excitement in different things. Where do you draw your inspiration from?

If you look close at each Sholdt ring you will notice the organic and feminine feel to it. When Brian Sholdt first started designing jewelry he found much of his inspiration from architecture and, of course, the female body. If you look at our Vashon Collection, you will notice the very modern and architectural atheistic to each piece yet soft and sexy.

Another one of our favorite engagement ring collections is the Lynden Collection. This fun group of rings incorporates our signature “Fern Finish”. Back in the early 90’s Brian began using this finish on a few Sholdt designs which would later grow into our most popular collection. He was inspired by the simplest thing, a fern. Next time you’re on a hike, stop and take a look at the detail on the backside of a fern. This is where he came up with the unique design. This finish is made up of little tiny rows of a hand done finish called, mill grain.

Our newest collection engagement ring collection, Rainier. Can you guess what it was named after? There have been a few great minds that have been a part of designing this collection. The inspiration comes from the beautiful Mt. Rainier here in Washington State. Each ring has a very mountainous profile and very organic movement.
